Keyword Shortcut to Search Google Images for Specific Site Only

Sometimes you may find it easier to look for some images from a specific website using Google Images rather than using the website’s search. You can do this easily using the search operator site:, and you can perform the task faster by implementing the tricks below in Firefox and Google Chrome.

FIREFOX

I. Apply specific shortcut to the site that you visit often. Here I use Reddit.com as an example.

  1. Open Firefox boomark manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + B
  2. Right-click on Unsorted Bookmark and select New Bookmark.
  3. Add a name to the new bookmark.
  4. In the Location, enter this: https://www.google.com/search?q=site:reddit.com+%s&safe=off&tbm=isch
  5. Add a keyword, e.g, gim
  6. Hit the Add button.

Now open a new tab, type gim funny, and press Enter. Google Images is then loaded with pictures only from Reddit site.

If you want to search Reddit.com for images larger than 2MP + Show size, type this in the Location of the New Bookmark window:

https://www.google.com/search?q=site:reddit.com+ %s&safe=off&tbm=isch&tbs=isz:lt,islt:2mp,imgo:1

If you want the search result to always show size:

https://www.google.com/search?q=site:reddit.com+%s&safe=off&tbm=isch&tbs=imgo:1

If you want to search for large images only + show size:

https://www.google.com/search?q=site:reddit.com+ %s&safe=off&tbm=isch&tbs=isz:l,imgo:1

If you want to search another site instead of Reddit, replace reddit.com with your preferred site.

II. Use “general” shortcut

  1. Open Firefox boomark manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + B
  2. Right-click on Unsorted Bookmark and select New Bookmark.
  3. Add a name to the new bookmark.
  4. In the Location, enter this: http://www.google.com/search?q=%s&tbm=isch
  5. Add a keyword, e.g, gg
  6. Hit the Add button.

Now open a new tab, type gg site:reddit.com funny, and press Enter. If you want to search Flickr pictures, type gg site:flickr.com funny, and so on.
